The goal was to take Formation from blah to bold and memorable. Before my time, the look of the brand was generic tech. Utilizing the brand colors, the company's quirky personality and their unofficial mascot (a goat), I created an ownable visual design for the customer-facing assets.
These assets included presentation slides, website banners and landing pages, graphics, architecture diagrams, UI design, white papers, and trade show booth design.
Technology and a Goat
This image was made by combining stock photos and adding a custom color treatment.
The client wanted a layout that focused on the hero image while working with the existing website structure. I created the hero by combining stock photos and altering them in Photoshop. The final image evokes a sense of adventure and accomplishment while nodding to the goat mascot.
These images were also created by combining stock photos and adding a custom color treatment that relates to the brand colors. These banners were used on the sub-pages of the company's website.
The product's UI needed to be updated to reflect the current branding. I redesigned the icons on the menu, the layout of the main cards, and the overall style of the UI. The needs of the user was explained to me and working with the engineers, I organized the layout according to what the user needs to see most and changed the type of charts to better reflect the nature of the features.
